Scientific art, artistic science
Keywords:
science, technology, art, techniqueAbstract
The article traces the history of the relationship between science, technology and art in ancient, medieval and modern times. Particularly significant is the transformation of the relationship between technique and art: in the modern era, technique is split into 'technology', an indispensable aid to science, and 'art', opposed - at least since Romanticism - to science. In this path a significant - and different - junction is represented by Renaissance naturalism, in which the links between science and art are very close.
