Abstract

The connection between IT developments and military procurement has always been very close, and with the proliferation of war scenarios in recent years, it has strengthened to the point that it’s fair to speak of a “military-digital complex” formed by Big Tech oligopolies and the US military. A particularly disturbing aspect of this connection is the use of AI for mass surveillance and, above all, for the development of AWS (Autonomous Weapons Systems) which is taking place outside of any regulation.
