Natural populations are limited by environmental resources, which define carrying capacity.
The logistic equation models how populations grow until reaching this limit, with rapid increases leading to crises and collapses, while slower growth stabilizes near equilibrium. Reproductive strategies differ: r-strategists reproduce quickly and massively, K-strategists
slowly and with care. Humans represent a special case: demographic transition, reduced fertility, and environmental stressors are shaping population dynamics. Capitalist production, tied to continuous growth, clashes with planetary limits, raising risks of crisis and conflict.
