The blue crab
Abstract
The blue crab (Callinectes sapidus), native to the Atlantic coasts of America, represents one of the most dangerous threats to our marine ecosystems. It is a very aggressive species, with a little specialized but highly efficient diet, which includes bivalve molluscs, crustaceans and fish, including many species of great interest for fishing.
