L’ anatomia di Leonardo da Vinci: un confronto tra arte, scienza e medicina
Parole chiave:
anatomy, Leonardo da Vinci, medical imaging, radiologyAbstract
The anatomical drawings by Leonardo da Vinci are extraordinarily modern, not only for the details in describing different structures, but also for the refinement and precision of graphical representations. In several cases, his anatomical sketches show a surprising similarity with the real images obtained today through imaging techniques such as digital radiology, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. This article compared some anatomical drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, included in the Windsor code, and the images obtained by modern imaging techniques to underline the elements of innovation contained in Leonardo’s description of anatomy.
