Abstract

The essay analyzes the translation method adopted for Caryl Churchill’s Thyestes, whose connections with Seneca and innovative charge toward the author’s classical theater are analyzed, in relationships with other contemporary rewritings of Seneca’s tragedy like those of Marina Carr.
