The aim of this article is to highlight how the analysis of the mechanism of detachment and elevation to idol of the fetishistic "part" may, in fact, be transposed and retranslated within Marxist theorization; a theorization that makes commodity fetishism one of its cornerstones. Therefore becomes possible, following the logic of distancing the part from the whole that belongs to it, to relate fetishism to the exploitation of human capital; an exploitation that is placed in the background compared to the commodity it produces.
