The paper purports to provide an account of Genoese Legal Realism (GLR), arguing for three theses: (1) GLR is realism; (2) GLR is a peculiar, original, variety of legal realism; (3) there are good theoretical and cultural reason for going on talking of “GLR” in the province of jurisprudence. The presentation will be metatheoretical in character, dealing with GLR “in books”: namely, from the standpoint of a few images provided by Letizia Gianformaggio, Mauro Barberis, and Riccardo Guastini, respectively.
